Christmas is a celebration that is popular throughout the whole world that encompasses all sorts of traditions that may be globally practiced or privately unique to a certain group of people. Christmas is a much awaited event of the year and in most countries, the atmosphere of this celebration starts on the first day of September, where the Christmas countdown begins. In many regions of the world, the beginning of “ber” months signifies the beginning of Christmas. This is how special Christmas is to a lot of people, approximately four months is devoted to it, from waiting to the actual celebration.

Christmas signifies the birth of Jesus Christ in the Christian religion and that is what makes it special for because it is considered the birth of a Savior. In the paganism, the celebration of Christmas is more of a celebration for their God named Oden. Romans celebrate Christmas with various festivities that is filled with lots of drinking, eating, and merry-making.

Christmas symbolizes generosity that is why gift-giving is a popular activity during this day. Inside the home, children anticipate Christmas with the thought of the coming of Santa Claus to give them gifts that they wish for in exchange for being good. Thus, it has become a practice by most parents to hide the gifts that they bought for their children until the day of actual celebration. Usually in the morning, the children just wake with a Christmas tree filled with gifts with their names on it. Even in the corporate setting or at school, Christmas parties are held and one of the main events is the exchange of gifts.

The happiness and joy that people feel and share during this season is overflowing. Thus, it has become a saying that consider every day as Christmas day. Share the joy and love not only on Christmas but as often as we can.
